Real Classroom Experience:

All sessions are practical in nature, with some foundation in theory, and demonstrate techniques that you can use immediately in the language lessons you teach.

  • English grammatical structures and their use

Teaching practice sessions

  • Assessed teaching practice (6hrs)
  • Tutor and colleague feedback

Observations

  • Six hours of observations of experienced teachers

Written Assignments

  • Lessons from the Classroom: Summary of learning outcomes after teaching practice and observations
  • Skills Assignment: Receptive skills (reading/listening), Productive skills (speaking/writing)
  • Focus on the Learner: Evaluation of language abilities of one foreign student
  • Language Related Tasks: Analysis of language for teaching purposes
