Language Link is located at 6 Duke’s Road, in the heart of Bloomsbury central London, built by 19th century master builder, Thomas Cubitt. The area is famous for its literary connections, Charles Dickens, W.B. Yeats and the “Bloomsbury Group” also Bloomsbury Publishers, the original publishers of Harry Potter. In the vicinity of the school you can find University of London and its colleges UCL, SOAS, the Institute of Education, the British Library and the British museum.
Bloomsbury is also noted for its garden squares laid out in the 17th and 18th century. The area is ideal for a walk through the history and culture of London. Dickens used many of the street names in his books and his museum is a few streets away.
With bay windows shop front, gilt-named businesses and swinging signage, the area retains much of the atmosphere of old London. The school is situated across the road from one of London’s best known schools of contemporary dance, “The Place”, which provides our students with large cafeteria facilities at very reasonable prices.
